I entered the strange and exciting world of performance poetry in 2004 and it's no exaggeration to say that it completely changed my life. There are so many individuals and organisations to whom I owe a massive vote of thanks that, when I began to list them all, the internet imploded! I'll blog about this soon and I'll add to the links below, but you know who you are and that you have my love and massive thanks. Tx
Apples & Snakes is the leading organisation for performance poetry in the UK.. I've had tons of support from them and I owe them big-time. To all staff past and present - thank you!
Write Out Loud is a fantastic site for poets in the UK and beyond. Their poetry gig guide is second to none and you can post your own profile, blog, pics, reviews, etc. I was one of the first handful of members of WOL and, as with Apples and Snakes, I've had tons of support from them and I'll be eternally grateful to these guys. Thank you!
The roots of Flapjack Press go back to The Ugly Tree poetry zine, to Mucusart press and Manchester's legendary Per Verse nights. I'll never forget the thrills of my first open mic slot, my first publication and my first feature slot. Paul Neads, Conor A - huge thanks, fellas! Mucusart morphed into Flapjack Press and its poets are all amongst my favourite in the world. Check em out.
Studio Salford - a brilliant shared theatre space above a great little pub in Salford on the edge of Manchester city centre. A tremendous hotbed of talent and energy where I've been proud to perform and compere on several occasions. Thank you!
REELMcr (Real Manchester) - a fantastic not-for-profit organisation delivering social change through youth and community film making. I've been proud to do pieces of work with them over several years. Thank you!
Commonword - A fantastic organisation supporting North West writers - me included. Thank you!
Comma Press/Comma Film/Literature North West - yet more sources of excellent opportunities for NW writers. Thank you!

John G Hall - one day Manchester and the world will recognise his poetry genius. A massive source of support to me and to many poets in Manchester and beyond. Thank you!
